Justin Ellis, a graduate student in the Leonard E. Parker Center for
Gravitational, Cosmology and Astrophysics, has fought off fierce competition to
be awarded one of only twelve 2014 Einstein Fellowships. Justin will take this
prestigious award with him to JPL this fall, where he will continue his
research in detecting gravitational waves with pulsar timing arrays.
"I was extremely excited and never thought I would get this prestigious award"
Justin exclaimed. A total of 185 applications were received for just twelve
available fellowships. He will be joining researchers at JPL which this year
will become the largest data-analysis group in NANOGrav.
