The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will host the LIGO burst group meeting on Thursday, Friday and Saturday May 6-8, 2004. The meeting will start at 9:30AM on Thursday, May 6. We expect to wrap up the meeting on Saturday, May 8 at or about 2PM.

Location and directions to the Meeting Room

The meeting will take place in the UWM Student's Union, in Room # E280. The union is on Kenwood Blvd, on the North-west corner of Kenwood and Maryland.

For those staying in the Park East, there ia a free shuttle to UWM. You just need to inform the front desk. Then if you ask the bus driver to drop you at the UWM Union, that should work fine. The distance from the hotel to the Campus is about 2.5 miles. Detailed directions including maps are available here:

Travel Info

The LSC burst group meeting will be held on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus. (We will provide more information later.) Getting to Milwaukee is easy enough:

• You can fly direct into Milwaukee (MKE), which is well served by Midwest Express Airlines (which has the most direct flights) and by Northwest Airlines (which has direct fglights from Boston and LAX).
• Alternatively, you can fly into Chicago and drive ( directions ), which takes about 90 minutes.

A rental car is not essential if you fly into MKE. Detailed Information about local transportation (including maps and directions) to the hotel from various nearby airports can be found at:

There is a shuttle service from the hotel to the campus. Parking on campus is quite difficult, so we recommend as few people as possible drive. We will post information about parking soon.
